Every kitchen, same discipline. The jokes are free; the sequencing is sacred.
We laser-measure the room (twice — you know the rule), map every outlet, window, vent, and water line, then plan the layout around the work triangle: sink, stove, fridge. If the dishwasher door and the island are going to fight, we find out now, on paper, for free — not on day 12 with a crowbar.
Water off, power off at the breaker and verified dead with a tester — every time, no exceptions, that's how everyone keeps their eyebrows. Floors get protected, dust barriers go up, and cabinets come out in pieces so we don't discover your plaster is load-bearing gossip. Everything hauled off same week.
Moving the sink? Adding an island outlet? This is when supply lines, drains, and circuits get re-run — permitted and inspected where the code says so, because we like our work legal and your insurance valid. Then insulation, drywall, and a finish so flat you could skim-read off it.
Cabinets are where you can tell if a crew is elite or just loud. We find the high point of the floor, snap level lines around the room, and shim every base cabinet to dead level — because a marble rolling off your counter is not a personality trait we allow. Uppers get screwed into studs, not hope.
Counter templating happens after cabinets are set (never before — that's amateur hour). Backsplash tile gets laid out from the center so the cuts land even in the corners. Then hardware, plumbing fixtures, appliance install, caulk lines like pinstripes.
We walk the room with painter's tape and hand it to you: tag anything you don't love. We fix it, we clean like your in-laws are due at 6, and then you cook the inaugural meal. (Tradition says it's t-ravs. We don't make the rules.)
Everything a full kitchen touches. Yes, we do all of it. Yes, in this order.
